200K ALGO Donated Toward Tree Planting
The number in table 2 is the balance amount of the donation wallet (i.e., Gilbert the Goanna).
Moreover, in table 3, it is shown that the donation wallet has sent two amounts of 40,000 and 100,000 ALGOs to the same wallet address on February 3rd and March 10th of 2022, respectively. As the receiver wallet address is queried in the algorand.labels table, it cannot be find there. It means that the ALGOs have not been sent to a centralized exchange (i.e., CEX).
Introduction:
A blockchain technology does not have to mean environmentally unfriendly. To the contrary, with thoughtful design and policy choices, it can merge the effectiveness of immutable, decentralized systems with environmental responsibility. Hence, as a carbon negative blockchain, ALGO makes the carbon emission be offset by planting trees. Gilbert the Goanna is an AI Goanna NFT collection and an organization that has planted over 40,000 trees (exactly, as can be seen in figure 1, 43,840 trees have been planted by now).
Concolusion:
In this question, we found that a blockchain technology how can be an eco-friendly technology despite of its energy consumption, which is harmful for the environment by emitting CO2. Moreover, based on the data extracted from the tables, it was shown the daily donations and the number of the donated wallets of Gilbert the Goanna over time, the total and average amounts of donations up to now, the balance of this organization, and the donated amounts of this organization and the receiver’s wallet address. Furthermore, it was shown that the receiver is not CEX.
In figure 2, you can see the daily donations and the number of the donated wallets of this organization over time. As can be seen in the table 1, the total donation of Gilbert the Goanna passed the benchmark of 200K ALGOs in donations for tree planting—accounts for 243,610.01 ALGOs up to now. Moreover, the average donations amount is 5,413.56 ALGOs per day.
