Raydium is an automated market maker (AMM) built on the Solana blockchain that shares liquidity with the Serum decentralized exchange.

Decentralized exchanges are a type of cryptocurrency exchange which allows for direct peer-to-peer cryptocurrency transactions to take place online securely and without the need for an intermediary.

Methodology

• We will look at the sales volume and number of users on Orca Rayidum, Jupiter, and Orca.

• We are looking to see how these two DEXs compair and what assets are most popular amoungst them.

• All the data for this anaysis will come from 2022

Observations

• Since the start of 2022 the number of daily active users on rayduim declined from 20,000 to 13,000

• Orca is the dex that has gained the most active users since the start of 2022 with a rise in active users of 500%

Observations

• The Daily number of swaps on all solana Dexs has doubeled since the start of year

• The vast majority of swaps on Solana are on the Jupiter aggregator.

• Over 50% of the raydium swap are with USDC or USDC with USDC being the majority.

• Other than stablecoins wrapped sol and Raydium make up most of the trades on Raydium.

Conclusion

• Since the start of 2021 Raydium has been decining in both daily users and dayly swaps

• the most popular assets userd on raydium are stablecoins.
