User Behavior (redux)
How is user behavior different on Optimism compared to L1? Specifically, create a comparison between swaps and transactions on ETH mainnet vs Optimism, looking for things like daily swap volume, daily active users, and average volume swapped (use a single DEX for your comparison, either Uniswap or Sushiswap). L2 is far cheaper, but by how much? What are the average fees for a swap on Optimism compared to ETH Mainnet?
introduction
Optimism is a fast, stable, and scalable L2 blockchain built by Ethereum developers, for Ethereum developers.Ethereum (ETH), the largest smart-contracts blockchain, has a scalability problem. As more and more users join Ethereum, the network becomes more expensive and slower to use.
In response to Ethereum’s scalability problem, a bunch of Ethereum alternatives – popularly known as "Ethereum killers" – have emerged. So-called Ethereum killers, such as Avalanche or Fantom, are separate blockchains, or layer 1s like Ethereum. Meanwhile, the Ethereum ecosystem has come up with a scaling solution: layer 2s, chains that work on top of Ethereum mainnet.
Optimism is one of the layer 2 scaling solutions. It’s powered by a technology called Optimistic rollups, which bundle large amounts of transaction data into digestible batches. Optimism is much cheaper to use than Ethereum, and it’s increasingly becoming popular along with other layer 2s, such as Arbitrum.Optimism is governed by its eponymous token, or OP for short. we hawe choosen sushiswap swaping app for compairing op and ETH.

Result and Discussion
Based on our findings and researches:
The daily swaps of active users in Optimism show that in the middle of May and the beginning of July of 2020, the highest amount of swap to op was done by users. On the other hand, the number of ethereum network swaps in 2021 and in the months of January and July had the highest amount. Checking the number of op transactions using sushiswap was done in 2022, first we selected the range from 0 to more than 1500 transactions, which was observed that more than 1500 transactions were done in June 2022, then the transactions of active users were checked, and the results show There are about 400 transactions in June 2022 Then, we checked the volume of tokens that were swapped to ops in sushiswap, and it was observed that the largest volume belonged to WETH, followed by OP, with 43.7% belonging to WETH and 34.6% belonging to OP. In another study, we analyzed the volume of TOKEN OUTs in OP, and it was observed that the largest volume of exchanges is related to ETH with 54.2 percent and OP is less (23.6) than ETH. In another analysis, we considered the daily volume and the average volume of SWAP to OP. In the month of JUN 2022, the daily and average volumes were the highest, and in other months, the average volume was higher than the daily volume. In another chart, we checked the daily average of TOKEN IN to OP, which is the highest value related to WETHA, and in the chart of TOKEN OUT volume in OP, we saw that the highest volume was in OP. The actuality of the users showed that the amount of Ethereum SWAP was the highest on a daily basis at the end of JUN and the beginning of JUL. And then we checked the number of transactions in Ethereum, which showed that it was the highest between the months of JUM2021 and JUN2022. In a graph, we checked the number of daily transactions of active users, and we saw that we had the most transactions in June 2022, about 20K. In the next step, we checked the volume of TOKEN IN in Ethereum, and the largest volume belongs to WETH with 46.3% and it ranks second in USDC. Another graph shows the volume of TOKEN OUT for Ethereum, that the largest volume belongs to WETH with 47.4% and it ranks second to USDC. Then we analyzed the daily and average of SWAPed ethereums, the results showed that the volume of exchanges was the highest between the months of APR and JUL 2021. The average volume of tokens in Ethereum showed that in the middle of the month of JUN2021 to APR 2021, the largest volume of exchanges belonged to WETH, followed by OP. The daily activity of users in OP began to grow from the beginning of May 2022 and reached its peak in the middle of May and July, and then decreased during 2022. And finally, it was observed that the average fee swap for Ethereum with a value of $0.01568 is much higher than the swap fee of Optimism with a value of 220.1*106.
