With all that said, we can say that although the amount governance proposals increased, most of them are text proposals which are usually not well funded, which means it was initiated by the general public. However, it also means that more non-automatic upgrades are being developed over the months and are seeking approval from Terra users through the form of text proposals.

The average initial deposit per month by type also helps shed some light on the matter, where text proposals usually do not get deposited initially. Since proposals require a hefty sum of 512 LUNA in order for it to go into the voting phase, the general public will not be able to fund the text proposals, whereas the more tech savvy and well-funded individuals are able to fully fund their non-text proposals so that it will go into voting phase right off the bat.

Besides that, these proposals also do not change anything within the Terra ecosystem whether they passed or not as the outcome of these proposals require human interference, such that they're mostly used to get the community's approval before performing a certain action. With that, the increasing number of text proposals can also be interpreted as the increase in feature upgrades that can't be executed automatically. This can be seen when the appropriate governance type is used when the outcome can be executed by the system

The rise in the text proposal type can be linked to the rise in popularity of Terra since January 2021, as the text proposals are just texts which anyone can submit easily, where the proposer do not necessarily require blockchain knowledge, although this is usually not the case. With Terra's userbase growing in recent months, the rise in number of text proposals does not come as a shocker.

The graph below shows the proposal count for each type of proposals over the months. Since January 2021, the number of text proposals per month is seldom below 5, where it even spiked to 18 text proposals in March. It's count was about the same as the other proposals (1 or 2 per month) before January. Despite the rise of text proposals, the other types of proposals remained at 1 or 2 per month after January.
