    Swap Volumes

The graph below shows the volume by liquidity providers (both add and remove liquidity) by hour. It seems like liquidity providers are the most active around 2pm UTC and the least active during night times in UTC. Using this logic, most of Thorchain's users are most likely Westerners, since it'll be around night time to midnight at 2pm UTC for Eastern countries.

Compared to liquidity providing activities, the swap volume seems to be insensitive to the timezones. This means that Thorchain traders come from all of the world. Breaking down the assets being traded, it seems like Thorchain users had adopted BUSD as their stablecoin of choice. With the BNB chain being the cheapest to use, it's no wonder that this is the case.

Breaking it down further, liquidity provided are mostly native BTC, this makes sense as native BTC doesn't support any kind of smart contract activities. With Thorchain's native liquidity feature, BTC users are able to enjoy the passive income that had been provided to the DeFi users on other smart-contract enabled blockchains. Thus, more native BTC users will be attracted to Thorchain compared to other blockchains since this was not possible before Thorchain.

From the graph below, we see that most of the time, more liquidity is added than removed, showing signs of crypto users adopting Thorchain.
