Uniswap Volumes
Uniswap had seen a tremendous growth over the past year where it had been the de facto market leader in the DeFi space for ages. With its v3 launch on the 3rd of May, we see a slight spike upwards in volume, in both v2 and v3 protocols. This is the expected behavior as new DeFi protocols always lure in the curious and the adventurous users as they try out new features and possible ways to maximize their passive incomes. As time goes on, however, we see that the total volume across both versions of Uniswap comes back down to below v3 launch levels, with v3 volume being significantly higher than v2.
So, to answer the question, had the difference between v2 and v3 volumes stabilized? I would say yes based on the fact that v2 volume had not seen any growth or decay since June, while v3 volume had been stagnant during that period as well. The growth period of v3 lasted about a month before settling down at about $1B per day while the decay of v2 lasted about the same duration.
