Algorand, thanks to its standard assets (ASA), allows NFT tokens to be minted quickly and easily, with all the security guarantees that this blockchain offers. In addition, content creators can take advantage of these benefits to bring their works to users quickly, in a practical and secure way and with an incredible speed for transactions.

These issues are making it possible for important projects, thanks to the granting of subsidies by the "Algorand Foundation", to develop what is called "NFT Markets", i.e. a virtual space where content creators can place their works, reach consumers and carry out all operations with the support of being built on the Algorand infrastructure, which provides great benefits.

So, in this report I am going to provide an overview of NFT collections on Algorand. Then, I will try to compare NFT marketplace in ALgorand.

Results

First of all, let's start with the number of NFT collections in Algorand.

• +16k NFT collections are developed in Algorand.

The number of brand-new collections introduced each month is seen in the graph below.

• We can see that during the months when the NFT market was in full swing, there were more than 2000 NFT collections.
• Since November the number of new collections have been going down.

The graph below shows the top collections in terms of number of NFTs.

The remaining portions of the report will concentrate on ab2.gallery and Rand.gallery, two significant NFT marketplaces based on Algorand. I will show the quantity of sales and the number of unique purchasers in both NFT Markets.

• We can see that before September 2021 ab2 gallery had a high number of sales and unique buyers. However, since then rand.gallery has outperformed it.
• When we compare the volume of sales, we can observe that rand.gallery is always expanding. However, the monthly volume of sales on ab2.galllery has decreased since November 2021.
