FLOW's Path To Decentralization
how much total $FLOW is staked? How much $FLOW is staked/unstaked per day? How many unique stakers there are? What is the amount of $FLOW staked vs. $FLOW circulating?
metric and method
I'll do an analysis of staking activities and delegators' behavior on FLOW and comparing it to NEAR and OSMOSIS within 30 days ago on this dashboard.
The major table I'm going to use for this is flow.core.ez staking actions.
This table contains a variety of acts, which I have categorized into three broad categories:
DelegatorTokensCommitted x TokensCommitted equals stake.
DelegatorUnstakedTokensWithdrawn & UnstakedTokensWithdrawn make up the term "unstake."

near.core.dim_staking_actions
osmosis.core.fact_staking
metric
Net Staked $FLOW Volume (Stake - Unstake)
Net Staked $NEAR Volume (Stake - Unstake)
Net Staked $OSMOSIS Volume (Stake - Unstake)
Total $FLOW Circulating Supply
Total $NEAR Circulating Supply

FLOW - Total Stake & Unstake Volume by Actions
NEAR - Total Stake & Unstake Volume by Actions
Osmosis - Total Stake & Unstake Volume by Actions
FLOW - Stake & Unstake Volume Per Day
NEAR - Stake & Unstake Volume Per Day

definition
What is Decentralization?
In general, decentralization is about moving the power and authority away from one central entity. And make the power available to the respective member of the community. Therefore, below are the points to focus on decentralization:
- No central Authority
- Community members have equal authority
- Shared power
For instance, BitTorrent. It’s a peer-to-peer file-sharing system that doesn’t depend on a server exclusively. Moreover, BitTorrent is a cloud-based system that anyone can join without permission. Above all, Let’s jot down the advantages of a decentralized system.
- The system is less likely to fail. Especially, when it’s based on redundant and shared components.
- Hard to attack as all users are not present in one place.
- Participants or nodes can come and go. Yet, the system will remain strong and independent.
- Users or participants gets value as a respective part of the network.
FLOW explanation:
FLOW is a blockchain platform that originally was designed for gaming purposes, but has expanded since its launch in 2020. The flow blockchain enables fast, low-cost transactions and supports smart contracts. It powers blockchain applications including NBA Top Shot, a non-fungible token (NFT) offering
NEAR ==explanation:==
NEAR Protocol is a public Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain that aims to bring DeFi to the masses with low transfer fees and fast transactions. NEAR competes with Avalanche, Solana, Cardano, Algorand, the new version of Ethereum, and other PoS networks.
OSMOSIS ==explanation:==
OSMOSIS is a fully-customizable AMM that allows developers to build truly unique liquidity pools, and build and deploy custom AMMs that can quickly adjust to changing market conditions.
Total Stake and Unstake Volume by Actions
The three cryptocurrencies FLOW, NEAR, and OSMOSIS are compared in the bar charts below in terms of total staking and unstaking.
In comparison between FLOW, NEAR and OSMOSIS, it appears that flow has more than 129 million staked and almost 9 million unstaked;
NEAR has more than 257 million staked and nearly 139 million unstaked; and OSMOSIS has 273.9 million
staked and 89.7 million unstaked.
unique stakers and unstakers
in area charts below,both unique stakes and unstakers have been mentioned for Flow,Near and Osmosis cryptocurrencies within last 30 days;
starting with Flow which has 26.144k stakers and 4954 unstakers till 12th November,
coming up next is Near which has 9.866k stakers and 3062 unstakers in same period of time,
and finally Osmosis with 5110 unstakers and 334.482k stakers till 12th November.
CONCLUSION
Stakes are more numerous and larger in volume than unstakes, while unstakes have larger average and median volumes.
The total NET flow bet up to this point is 698,512,370.54 flow.
The highest stake volumes for FLOW,NEAR and OSMOSIS were achieved on 9th November(flow),11th Novermber(near) and 25th October(osmosis) , and the number of transactions and delegators keeps growing over time,
indicating that the FLOW ecosystem is becoming more decentralized.
