Introduction:

In today's data-driven world, visualizing information is crucial for decision-making and understanding complex systems. In the rapidly evolving world of blockchain technology, the Avalanche network has emerged as a prominent player. To gain insights into the network's growth and user activity, we will create a comprehensive dashboard that highlights the inflows and outflows of assets from Avalanche. This dashboard will provide a clear overview of key performance indicators (KPIs), such as the number of users and volume by centralized exchanges (CEX). Additionally, we will delve into which CEXes contribute the most active users to the ecosystem, allowing stakeholders to identify trends and make informed decisions. By utilizing the labels table and visualizing the data, our goal is to provide a valuable tool for understanding the dynamics of the Avalanche network and its interaction with the broader cryptocurrency market.

Methodology:

In this dashboard I am going to be tracking asset flows to Avlanche from CEX’s and vice versa. I will be looking at outflows as assets coming to Avalanche from CEX’s and inflows as assets going to CEX’s from Avalanche. Throughout this dashboard I will be looking at the transfers table and the labels table in order to see transfers across a handful of metrics as well as where those assets are being transferred. I will be looking at metrics both overall and overtime in order to get a comprehensive understanding of asset flows on Avalanche.

AVAX is the native token of the Avalanche blockchain, which—like Ethereum—uses smart contracts to support a variety of blockchain projects. The Avalanche blockchain can provide near-instant transaction finality. AVAX is used to pay transaction processing fees, secure the Avalanche network, and act as a basic unit of account among blockchains in the Avalanche network.

What is a CEX?

A centralized exchange (CEX) allows any person with an internet connection to discover and transact with crypto assets. It is owned and operated by a private company and requires users to sign up and open an account in order to participate. CEXs facilitate transactions of crypto assets between buyers and sellers. by providing an online trading platform that maintains an order book: a collection of buy and sell orders posted by individual traders.
