In this report, we will present a comprehensive and interactive dashboard that visualizes the inflows and outflows of assets between NEAR and various CEXs. We will delve into key performance indicators, such as the number of users and trading volume by CEX, to gain insight into which exchanges contribute the most active users to the NEAR ecosystem. Moreover, we will explore the preferences and usage patterns of users who have onboarded funds from CEXs, focusing on their interactions with dApps within the NEAR ecosystem. By shedding light on these trends, we aim to provide valuable insights for developers, investors, and users alike, ultimately fostering informed decision-making and strategic planning for the future of NEAR Protocol and its growing community.

Methodology:

In this dashboard we are going to be focusing on the tables near.core.fact_transfers and near.core.dim_address_labels. We are going to be using the transfers table in order to see assets inflows and outflows and we are going to be using the labels table in order to find the addresses of CEXs and dApps. From this we will be able to deteremine what CEXs and dApps these users are using how frequently they are using them and in what volumes.

What is NEAR?

NEAR Protocol is a software that aims to incentivize a network of computers to operate a platform for developers to create and launch decentralized applications. Central to NEAR Protocol’s design is the concept of sharding, a process that aims to split the network’s infrastructure into several segments in order for computers, also known as nodes, to only have to handle a fraction of the network’s transactions.

What is a CEX?

A centralized exchange (CEX) allows any person with an internet connection to discover and transact with crypto assets. It is owned and operated by a private company and requires users to sign up and open an account in order to participate. CEXs facilitate transactions of crypto assets between buyers and sellers. by providing an online trading platform that maintains an order book: a collection of buy and sell orders posted by individual traders.
