Algorand Q30: Active Daily Wallets

Let's look at daily active addresses on Algorand. Compare the number of active daily wallets for the month of January 2022 to December 2021 and January 2021.

In this analysis, we intend to compare the amount of transactions made by wallets in January 2021, December 2021 and January 2022. We first display each of these three dates separately in the chart and table, and then examine it.

The chart below shows the total number of distinct wallets that make transactions per day. The total volume of transactions is not discussed here and only the number of unique wallets is shown.

We also repeat this chart for December 2021 and January 2022.

What is evident is that the Algorand network has grown in 2021, and by the end of 2021, the number of unique wallets that are trading every day has multiplied compared to the beginning of 2021.

But as we can see, since December 22, 2021, the number of transactions made by unique wallets has grown many times over. And on December 22, it reached nearly 1.8 million, which is the largest number of unique wallets that have made transactions.

    What is the reason?

This can be a very important reason, and that is that during this period, some companies (ramps) have provided services in the Algrand network so that users can directly convert their money into a Algo without the intermediation of exchange offices. For example, you can refer to the following tweet.

Or refer to the following article.

Now if we want to talk about January 2022, we have to open the issue a bit. If we compare the total transactions of January 2022 with the total transactions of January 2021, we see that the volume of transactions has increased, but the unique wallets have not increased much.
