Although we intend to check the number of transactions and the number of wallets that have made transactions since the beginning of July but in order to make a more accurate prediction about the future of Matic, we also need to check the transaction information of the previous months. Because of the Flipside data for Polygon is being updated, we have to look at the data from June 7th.
But before anything, it's not a bad idea to take a look at Matic.
What IS Matic?
MATIC is the native cryptocurrency of the Polygon network and is used to help drive development across the network and can be used for staking and paying for transaction fees. Users can earn MATIC tokens by providing computational resources and services to the Polygon network.
Getting Started
All information is received from polygon.core.fact_transactions table. Additional information about transfer transactions is also received from polygon.core.ez_matic_transfers table. According to the available data, since the beginning of July, nearly 26.23 million transactions have been made by 1 million unique wallets. This volume of transactions happened while only 11 days have passed since July.
Also, in the charts below, we can see the number of daily transactions, the number of wallets that performed these transactions, the volume of Matic transferred, the number of addresses from which Matic was transferred to other wallets and the number of transfers.
Looking at the charts of the number of unique daily wallets and the number of daily transactions, we see that the number of wallets and the number of transactions have not changed much compared to before. However, in the month of June, we have days where the number of transactions and the number of wallets are less than the current month. If we look at the graphs related to transfers, we will see a similar result. Although we see days in the previous month that in terms of the number of transactions and the volume of Matic transferred are more than the transactions of the current month, the fluctuations created in the current month have already existed and this seems normal. Eventually According to the obtained data, we can see that the growth of Matic and the growth of Polygon will continue. although the fluctuations of the market in the last few days have had a negative effect on the activities of Matic, But Polygon's growth hasn't stopped.
