Q50. Let’s look at what ASAs(Algorand Standard Assets) are most popular to swap into from ALGOs in 2022 using the swaps table

1. Create a bar chart visualization of the top 10 ASAs by total ALGO swap volume. (Tip: This means we want to look at swaps where the wallet is sending in ALGOs(asset ID: 0) and receiving another asset in return. The volume would in ALGOs would be the sum of all the ALGOs wallets sent in to receiver the asset).
2. Create a table for the top 10 ASAs found in part 1. In this table, list the ALGO swap volume and the average amount of ALGOs involved in a swap.
3. Create a time series chart to look at the number of swaps (from ALGOs) to each of these 10 ASAs over time by day since the beginning of 2022. Note any trends on the increasing or decreasing popularity of any of the ASAs.

Methodology

In this dashboard, I will show the chart of the TOP 10 ASAs which swapped from ALGO in 2022. Then calculate the average amount of ALGOs involved in a swap to each of these top 10 ASAs.

At the end you can see the number of swaps (from ALGOs) to each of these top 10 ASAs per day since 2022 in two different charts: 1. Line chart 2. Timeseries chart.

• USDC is on rank 1 of total swap volume from ALGO, which is about 61.5M ALGOs swapped to USDC.
• YLDY is the second one in ranking with 31.4M ALGOs swapped to it.
• DEFLY and STBL are in 3rd and 4th place with a small difference.

In the table above, I put swap volume to each asset (based on ALGO), swap txs which shows the number of swap transactions to that asset, swappers count which shows the number of unique wallets swapped to that asset and Algo average swap calculated from swap volume divide by swap txs and shows the average amount of ALGOs involved in a swap to that asset. I also show this average in the next chart.

• As we see Average amount of Algos that swapped to USDC is the highest and ZONE follows that. DEFLY and STBL are in 3rd and 4th places.

The chart above shows the number of swaps from ALGO to the top 10 ASAs. As we see during Jan 10 to Jan 18 we had dumped in all ASAs swaps. YLDY has the highest number of swaps most of the days and USDC follows that.
