Velodrome Locks
Analyze new locks created on Velodrome Finance. What durations are most common? Which wallets have locked the most in the last 4 weeks? Which pools are wallets voting for with their locked tokens most often?
About Velodrome
Velodrome Finance, at its core, is a solution for protocols on Optimism to properly incentivize liquidity for their own use cases. Building on top of the groundwork laid out by Solidly, our team has addressed that first iteration's core issues to realize its full potential.

Methodology
In this dashboard, first, I will show the most common lock time, which users lock their tokens. Then, in the next chart, I will show the Top 5 addresses, which locked the most tokens in the past 4 weeks (1 month).
In the last section, I will show the pools which are wallets voting for with their locked tokens most often.
Most common lock time
The bars show the number of lock token transactions split by the period of the lock time, in other words, the duration of the lock.
As we see, users, mostly, lock their tokens for 4 years. The number of lock token transactions that locked their tokens for 4 years is 725 transactions.
The second most common period that users lock their assets is between 8-31 days (1 month) which shows as the yellow bar in the chart. The number of these lock transactions is 399 transactions.
The third period belongs to 1-year lockers which contain about 310 transactions.
And at last, transactions with 1-7 days (we can say 1-week) with 295 transactions is in the fourth place.
Due to the fact that the rest of the locking times were scattered and their total number was less than the above times, it has been placed in the “others” bar.
Wallets with most VELO locks
The donut chart on the left shows the 10 addresses that have locked the most amount of Velo tokens over the past 4 weeks.
As we can see, the first address has locked more than 5 million tokens. address: 0xcc739b45da0123047cd0103b88f968b22ebdfc66
The next address comes in second with over 3.2 million locked tokens. address: 0xf56f5a0b8621bbc5290714da85b328dafea0a9a9
The next addresses are in the third and fourth places with about 2.5 million locked tokens, each. address: 0x1594b251df6b70ca9a01d4de0836ab4fd9811241
, address: 0xeddc3369e15e9effa6e1ec2ee1ddc3cdf501e852
Votes on which Pools
As we see, VELO/USDC has the most number of votes among the others, with 2049 votes (vote tx).
OP/USDC is in the second rank with 1224 votes and WETH/USDC follows that with 531 votes.
VELO/OP and USDC/sUSD are in ranks 4 and 5 with 452 and 434 vote txs.
Note: Users can cast their votes to multiple pools in just 1 tx. So, first, I segmented the data into 64-length strings. Then just extract those strings that contain pool addresses and flatten them and at the end, find the top 10 pools based on the number of vote txs.
