ETH Deposited or Withdrawn

Q1. StarkNet is a layer-2 chain that ensures interoperability with Ethereum mainnet. People are using it to move real ETH to starknet and enjoy its higher speed of transaction and lower fees. How many ETHs have been deposited or withdrawn (bridged) so far from Ethereum to StarkNet or vice versa? and by how many depositors?

    Method

    In this dashboard I analyzed:

    • Amount of ETH bridged in both directions (and its value in USD)
    • Number of wallets bridged their ETH in both directions
    • Number of Bridge Transactions in both directions
    • Total amount of ETH bridged in both directions (and its value in USD)
    • Total number of wallets bridged their ETH in both directions
    • Total number of Bridge Transactions in both directions

    Bridges

The following graphs show the Amount of ETH, their value in USD, the number of wallets, and the number of transactions Bridged From Ethereum mainnet to StarkNet and vice versa respectively:

By looking at the graphs we can say that Bridging officially started on May 9th (we have some bridges before that date but because they were very small, we can consider them as testing bridges).
The highest amount of L1 to L2 bridge happened on May 10th(31.87 ETH - 75.4k USD) and the highest amount of L2 to L1 bridge happened on June 21st(2.08 ETH - 2390 USD).

on May 10th, the highest number of unique wallets bridged their ETHs from L1 to L2 (1581 wallets) but the highest number of bridges happened on May 22nd (1655 transactions)
For the L2 to L1, the highest number of unique wallets bridged their ETHs on June 19 (43 wallets), and on the same day, we had the highest number of transactions in that direction.

The following graphs show the average ETH transferred per wallet and per transaction since the start of Bridge:

As you can see in both categories, the highest average for L1 to L2 happened on June 29th and for the other direction happened on June 13th

    In Total

Overall in "L1 to L2" direction, 18280 unique wallets deposited 430.29 ETH (768.8k USD) in 22074 transactions. This means 0.02353902558 ETH per wallet and 0.01949322223 ETH per transaction. (Please note that the maximum amount of ETH bridge (L1 to L2) in each transaction is 0.025ETH )
In the other direction, 643 unique wallets withdrew 25.09 ETH (33012.36 USD) in 707 transactions. This means 0.03902105441 ETH per wallet and 0.03548873831 ETH per transaction.

    Conclusion

    • The amount of ETH bridged to L2 is 17.2 times greater than the amount of ETH bridged to L1
    • The number of wallets that bridged ETH to L2 is 28.4 times greater than the number of wallets that bridged ETH to L1
    • In recent days there is an increase in the number of users bridging their assets to L1 and a decrease in the number of users in the other direction
    • Since the start of Bridge, Average ETH values (per wallet and per transaction) on both sides are getting closer together
