MonkeDAO Whale Voters
A month ago, the MonkeDAO pressed the Solana Monkey Business team for various changes to be made to the royalty and NFT structure to foster growth for the collection. Ultimately this resulted in the first NFT on-chain vote on Solana to accept or reject the SMB team's proposal, with a 'no' likely resulting in a separation of the two groups. In the end, the MonkeDAO voted to unify with the SMB team and to grow their relationship together.
In this dashboard I analyzed :
1- Votes for 3 proposals
2- How whales acted
3- What happened to NFTs after voting
In the following tables, you can see the number of wallets that participated in each proposal and the number of SMBs used as votes.
In the following table and graphs, you can see the list of wallets that voted YES in the First Proposal.
As you can see in the above chart, 40.4% of votes (601) are from whales with +4 SMBs, then we have wallets with one SMB ( 39.2% - 583 SMBs ) and at the end wallets with 2 or 3 SMBs ( 20.5% - 305 SMBs ).
In the following table and graphs, you can see the list of wallets that voted NO in the First Proposal.
As you can see in the above chart, 56.1% of votes (37) are from wallets with 1 SMB, then we have whales (wallets with +4 SMBs, 30.3% - 20 SMBs ) and at the end wallets with 2 or 3 SMBs ( 13.6% - 9 SMBs ).
In the following table and graphs, you can see the list of wallets that voted YES in the Second Proposal.
As you can see in the above chart, 47.3% of votes (168) are from wallets with 1 SMB, then we have whales (wallets with +4 SMBs, 27% - 96 SMBs ) and at the end wallets with 2 or 3 SMBs ( 25.6% - 91 SMBs ).
In the following table and graphs, you can see the list of wallets that voted NO in the Second Proposal.
As you can see in the above chart, 47.3% of votes (86) are from whales with +4 SMBs, then we have wallets with one SMB ( 35.7% - 65 SMBs ) and at the end wallets with 2 or 3 SMBs ( 17% - 31 SMBs ).
In the following table and graphs, you can see the list of wallets that voted for Airdrop in the Third Proposal.
As you can see in the above chart, 40.8% of votes (108) are from whales with +4 SMBs, then we have wallets with one SMB ( 38.9% - 103 SMBs ) and at the end wallets with 2 or 3 SMBs ( 20.4% - 54 SMBs ).
In the following table and graphs, you can see the list of wallets that voted for Entangle in the Third Proposal.
As you can see in the above chart, 58% of votes (112) are from wallets with 1 SMB, then we have wallets with 2 or 3 SMBs ( 21.2% - 41 SMBs ) and at the end whales (wallets with +4 SMBs, 20.7% - 40 SMBs ).
After the Voting, 4 "NO" votes sold their SMBs (4 SMBs in total). 3 of them used 'SMB Marketplace' and one of them used 'Magic Eden'
NOTE: Because the main votes were for First Proposal, I considered wallets and NFTs participated in that voting.
But on the other hand "YES" voters bought more SMBs (25 SMBs). Only 2 of the SMBs were bought on "Magic Eden" and the other 23 were on 'SMB Marketplace'.
In the end, Users voted YES for the First proposal and Airdrop for the Third proposal.
In both of those votes, whales had the highest number of NFTs voted and this shows how they can choose the direction of projects.
