NFT Wallet Behavior Comparison
Create a series of dashboards comparing wallet behavior for buying and selling NFTs on Flow compared to Ethereum and Solana. Is there more or less "whale" activity on Flow compared to each of the other chains?
Method
In this dashboard I analyzed:
- The number of traded NFTs (Daily & Total)
- The number of Buyers (Daily & Total)
- The number of Sellers (Daily & Total)
- Daily Average number of Buys and Sells
- The number of Whale Buyers (Daily & Total)
- The number of Whale Sellers (Daily & Total)
*Whale: In this dashboard, wallets that bought or sold more than 100 NFTs in one day have been considered a Whale.
*Data used in this dashboard is for the last 60 days.
NFT Sales (in the last60 days)
The following graphs show the number of NFTs that have been traded and their network distribution in the last 60 days (in 3 different networks)
As you can see on most days, NFTs on Ethereum had the majority of trades. On June 2nd, 2022 more than 119k NFTs traded on the Ethereum network (The highest number of trades in one day in one network), and on the same day, only 59k NFTs traded on Solana (less than half of Ethereum’s NFTs) and 21k traded on Flow.
Buyers and Sellers
The following graphs show the number of Buyers and Sellers on each network.
As you can see on most days, Flow users bought the highest average number of NFTs but in recent days their average number dropped from 5.54 NFTs to 1.2 NFTs.
Also on the other side, at the beginning Flow users sold the highest average number of NFTs but it decreased daily, and currently, each user that sells NFT on market, on average sells 1.2NFTs per day.
Overall in the last 60 days, more than 4.7M NFTs taded on Ethereum, more than 3.7M NFTs on Solana and less than 1M (963k) NFTs on Flow.
