Q1. How many total Metamask wallet holders are there? What’s the average value of ETH held in wallets? What percentage of wallets are engaging in a higher-order activity, like staking?
Metamask is a commonly used wallet that you can install it on your desktop or mobile. it supports different Networks (including test nets). You can buy tokens, swap tokens, or transfer tokens by Metamask.
In this dashboard, using "Metamask: Swap Router Contract: 0x881D40237659C251811CEC9c364ef91dC08D300C " I found Wallet addresses that were created by Metamask. Then I calculated the ETH balances of those wallets from the beginning of 2022 and Also Count the number of different activities these wallets had since that date.
*** Please note that Many users do not use the swap action, directly on Metamask or they use different networks other than Ethereum, so this dashboard does not conclude those wallets. ***
By using ethereum.core.fact_event_logs table, I found 1.272 M unique wallets that swapped directly on Metamask.
In the following graph, you can see the daily ETH balance of these wallets (and their value in USD ) since January 1st,2022.
At its peak, the ETH value held by these wallets was 4.73B $ (on March 31st) and the lowest amount was on June 18th when it was 1.074B $.

The following graph shows the total number of different activities happened by these wallets.
As you can see the transfer is the most happened activity but because every transaction like swap contains at least 2 transfers (take a look at the following table which shows a single swap transaction and it contains 4 transfers), we can't consider it as the most happened activity, for us the most happened activity is approval and after that it is Swap.
In this period of time, the average balance of each wallet can be seen in the next graph
- There are 1.272M wallets that at least had one swap with metamask
- On Average, each one of them had a balance of 0.96 ETH
- Their Top activities are Transfer (which also happened through other activities), Approval, and Swap
