We analyzed wallet activity in the Movement testnet from September 2024 to March 23, 2025, using data from movement.core.fact_transactions. We categorized 31,719 unique wallets into six activity types: Swap (1,965), NFT Mint (660), Stake (44), Send (28,295), Inactive (1,722), and Combined (111), where Combined groups wallets with multiple activities (e.g., Swap & NFT). We also simplified engagement into two ranges: 1-10 days (31,684 wallets) and over 10 days (35 wallets). The goal was to understand wallet behavior and participation patterns in a clear, concise way.
The data shows that the vast majority of wallets (28,295 or 89%) are Send-only, likely indicating basic transactions like token transfers or faucet usage, with minimal engagement in advanced activities. Swap (1,965) is the most common active behavior, followed by NFT Mint (660) and Stake (44), but these account for less than 10% of total wallets combined. The Combined category (111) is small, suggesting few wallets engage in multiple activities. Engagement is heavily skewed, with 31,684 wallets (99.9%) active for 1-10 days and only 35 wallets (<0.2%) active beyond 10 days. This indicates a testnet dominated by short-term, low-complexity participation.
