• The AIP: ArbOS Version 20 “Atlas” which proposes several improvements to Arbitrum, including the capability to support Dencun (EIP-4844) involves reducing the surplus fee and the minimum base fee. The temperature check of possible fee mechanism configuration that may be necessary due to the Dencun upgrade will affect the Arbitrum DAO's revenue in an unfavorable way. On the other hand, lower fees could potentially lead to more transactions and more activity on the chain.
