Opensea is the world’s first and largest digital marketplace for crypto collectibles and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) where a user can buy, sell, and discover exclusive digital assets. On July 20, 2021, Opensea started supporting NFT on Polygon (link).

Let’s see how much Opensea has earned through Polygon transactions.

• Since June 6, 2022, Opensea has collected $0.887M fee on Polygon.
• Fee has been collected in 5 tokens.
• 97.4% of total $ fee is collected in WETH.

Daily fee

• Since June 6, 2022, Opensea daily $ fee has been decreasing from $30K to $12K on July 30, 2022.
• Majority of daily $ fee (96% - 99%) is collected in WETH.

As majority of Opensea’s fee is collected in WETH, let’s see if the down trend in daily $ fee is affected by daily fee in WETH or by WETH price or both.

• Daily fee in WETH is also in down trend, however it’s downward slope is not as steep as total daily $ fee.
• WETH price also plays apart in the stronger down trend in total daily $ fee as seen on the chart below.

Conclusion

• Since June 6, 2022, Opensea has collected $0.887M fee on Polygon, of which 97.4% is in WETH.
• Opensea daily $ fee collected is in a down trend which is affected by both the decrease in WETH collected and WETH price.
