What is a whale?

There is no exact definition of a whale! For me, in this analysis, a whale is a user / wallet holding a huge amount of Luna tokens! To be more precise, a wallet holding more than 10 Million $LUNA (staked).

Classification of wallets holding Luna:

1. 0-100 is called Phytoplankton

2. 100-1000 is called Shrimp

3. 1,000-10,000 is called Goldfish

4. 10,000-100,000 is called Crab

5. 100,000-1,000,000 is called Swordfish

6. 1,000,000-10,000,000 is called Shark

7. 10,000,000-100,000,000 is called Whale

8. more than 100,000,000 is called Blue Whales

What is governance in Terra Ecosystem?

Within Terra, governance is the process through which participants within the network can effect change on the protocol by submitting petitions known as proposals, arriving at a popular consensus when a threshold amount of support has been reached for it.

There are 5 potential proposal types: Text Proposals, Parameter Change Proposals, Community Pool Spend Proposals, Tax Rate/Reward Weight Update Proposals, and Software Upgrade Proposals.

We will just focus on the 'whales' category of wallets, as there are no blue whales, with total amounts over 10 Million $LUNA. In this case we only have two wallets holding that amount of $LUNA.

The good thing of this votes is, that this whale never voted on his own proposals. This could be critical because of it huge voting power. Let me also say, that thsi wallet never

Only one of these wallets voted in the last 90 days. But this wallet, terra1wqwfwh797tf77e2xpvy9xx082pwpxxlm9x4xws, votes very regularly, 15 times, as we can see in the next list.

In the past 90 days the community seems pretty active, many proposals have been put forward, 49 proposals to be precise.

Conclusion

Fist of all I want to answer the initial questions: Only one out of two whales voted, that is 50%! ;-)

This whale is voting very regular, but has never voted on his own proposals. Generally governance proposals are very popular in Terra Ecosystem and shows that the community is very active and lively.
