What’s polygon?

Polygon, formerly known as the Matic Network, is a scaling solution that aims to provide multiple tools to improve the speed and reduce the cost and complexities of transactions on blockchain networks.

About Polygon-Ethereum Bridge

With Polygon, you have a seamless two-way communication channel between Polygon and Ethereum thanks to the cross-chain bridge with Plasma and PoS security. Thus, users can move their tokens across Polygon without the risk of third parties or market liquidity.

What do we want?

The goal of this article is to analyze what users do after transferring cryptocurrencies from Ethereum Network to Polygon Network via the bridge.

Methodology

The way i’ve chose to achieve wanted data is using udm-events table of polygon database and due to large amount of data i decided to set a time limit of past two month information from database.

second chart tells us about the total amount of currency crossing across the bridge and entering the polygon world of currencies in USD.

This chart shows the first destination of currencies that entered polygon world. Most of the money is headed to aave, quickswap, sushiswap and wmatic.

second chart :

It tells us if bridgers deposit for polygon or other currency as first transaction.
