Introduction

In this analysis we will go through Algorand on-chain data and see new wallets activities in May, 2022. We will look at new wallets being created from May 4th to May 10 and find out what are these new wallets doing on Algorand blockchain.

Distribution Of ALGOs

At first we will find out how much ALGOs these new addresses have. For this purpose we divided these wallets to 9 group based on their ALGO balance:

• more_than_100k ALGO
• 10k_to_100k ALGO
• 1k_to_10k ALGO
• 500_to_1k ALGO
• 400_to_500 ALGO
• 300_to_400 ALGO
• 200_to_300 ALGO
• 100_to_200 ALGO
• less_than_100 ALGO

As you see in the above chart over 1 million of these wallets holding less than 100 ALGO, and 7 of these wallets have more than 100k ALGO.

Also we can see 1391786 new wallet addresses being created from May 4th to May 10:

Swapping Assets

In the following charts we can see what was the popular assets to swap for by these new wallets. for this we considered 3 popular asset to swap from on Algorand:

• USDC
• STBL
