Background: Optimism is a layer 2 blockchain on top of Ethereum aiming to be a scaling solution that is faster and cheaper.

Purpose of this dashboard is to be a daily executive summary of the Optimism blockchain & ecosystem by providing KPIs, trends, and % changes, with the goal of keeping dashboard viewers to come back regularly to see how Optimism is doing.

• Estimated using the avg. USDC → OP swap rate in the OP/USDC Velodrome Pool (contract_address = '0x47029bc8f5cbe3b464004e87ef9c9419a48018cd') using the Optimism events table (optimism.core.fact_event_logs).

Avg. Block Time

• Calculated by subtracting the time difference between blocks in optimism.core.fact_transactions and averaging for the day. Note: Flipside data rounds block_timestamp to the seconds, not millisecond, so some granularity in data is missing and results might be slightly misleading.

Quixotic NFT Sales ($USD)

• NFT Sales are all for Quixotic, which is the largest NFT marketplace on Optimism.
• NFT Sales identified as 'transfer' event types from the Optimism event table (optimism.core.fact_event_logs) for the following Quixotic exhange contracts: 0x20975da6eb930d592b9d78f451a9156db5e4c77b (v3 ), 0x065e8a87b8f11aed6facf9447abe5e8c5d7502b6 (v4), 0x3f9da045b0f77d707ea4061110339c4ea8ecfa70 (v5).
• Sales WETH prices were pulled from the eth_value column in the Optimism transactions table (optimism.core.fact_transactions) and prices were converted to USD using the flipside_prod_db.ethereum.token_prices_hourly table.

• Got the list of pools from Velodrome and Sushiswap apps manually, going to the Pools tab within each app, opening up each pool, and copy/pasting the pool address from the webpage .
• Identified swap transactions from the events table (optimism.core.fact_event_logs) where the contract was a LP pool and event_name = swap.
