Polygon Daily Transactions and Unique Addresses

Introduction: The purpose of this analysis is to determine the number of daily transactions and unique addresses on Polygon, beginning July 1, 2022, and discuss Polygon’s growth & usage.

Conclusion: Daily unique transactions and unique active addresses remained stable from July 1st - 12th, 2022, with less activity on the weekends. Despite stable transaction volume, transaction fees declined. Lastly, the % of failed transaction decreased over the time period analyzed.

Methods:

• Included Polygon transactions from July 1st - July 12th, 2022.
• Daily unique active addresses are combination of to and from addresses in transactions that occurred on that day.
• Included successful and failed transactions for daily unique transaction and address counts.

Daily transactions appear flat with lower transaction volume on the weekends.

Daily unique active addresses peaked on July 6th. Should investigate transactions by address to see whether a project launched. Lower address counts on weekend, similar to transactions.

Admittedly, it’s hard to see, but the % of failed transactions decreased from > 5% to < 5% during this time.

Downward trend in transaction fees despite stable transaction counts.
