ERIS Protocol Revised Grant Proposal
Revised ERIS Grant Proposal
published on 1/2/2023
622 views
We have taken some time off to recharge our batteries after our closely failed grant proposal and we are back for a second try with a revised proposal.
ERIS protocol provides Terra with a suite of products around liquid staking and creates a stable economy around yield-generating assets.
Liquid staking derivatives (LSDs) will be at the core of DeFi in the next few years, as it allows an efficient usage of capital while also providing security for the chain. A strong financial on-chain economy is needed to fuel the revival of Terra DeFi. This is where our passion lies and what we want to provide the Terra community with.
Since the Terra crash we have started building our product portfolio (Amplifier, Amp Extractor, Amp Compounder, Manual Arb) for the community. We require a funding of $ 500,000 USD benchmarked at 08:00 UST time on January 13, 2023 to provide the community with a dedicated professional DevOps team, further products for a stable LSD economy, an innovative, fair delegation and governance framework and provide the infrastructure and configuration for a Terra based LSD liquidity hub.
The funds will be payed out to a 4-out-of-5 community multi-signature wallet and be distributed milestone based. Milestone 0: With passing of the proposal Milestone 1: Launch of Amp Governance Milestone 2: Launch of Arb Repeater Milestone 3: Integration of Warp Protocol With passing of the proposal 50% of the funding will be paid out to cover audits, marketing, infrastructure and a small part of salaries. The remaining 50% will start vesting when all milestones are reached.

ANALYSIS OF COMPARISON
BOTH THE PROPOSALS HAVE REQUESTED FUNDS FROM THE POOL OF TERRA COMMUNITY.
ERIS PROTOCOL WAS ACCEPTED ON THE OTHER HAND TEXAS POKER WAS REJECTED . THERE WERE SEVERAL REASONS FOR REJECTION
FIRSTLY THE REPORTS WERE NOT TRANSPARENT & DID NOT PROVIDE A CLEAR VISION FOR FUTURE PROSPECTS LIKE FUND ALLOCATION & USE UNDER OTHER SUBHEADS
TEXAS POKER DID NOT ACCEPT CRITICISM & SUGGESTIONS OPEN -HEARTEDLY . ALL THESE POINTS WERE AVAILABLE IN ERIS PROTOCOL . ANOTHER MAJOR DIFFERENCE WAS THAT THE AMOUNT OF FUND REQUESTED WAS $500,000 USD WHILE THE OTHER REQUESTED FOR 300,000 LUNA THAT TOO IN MONTHLY INSTALMENT OF 100,000 LUNA PER MONTH . TERRA POKER PROVIDED DEEP ANALYSIS & BREAKDOWN OF THE EXOENSE WHICH MIGHT HAVE RESULTED IN ITS FAILURE .LIKE 40% FOR OPERATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE COST & 60 % FOR WAGES & MAINTAINENCE . WHICH IS MISSING IN ERIS PROTOCOL PROPOSAL . TERRA POKER PRESENTED A CLEAR VISION FOR ATTRACTING NEW USERS & A CLEAR MARKET STRATEGY FOR THE UPLIFTMENT OF THE ECOSYSTEM . IT ALSO PROVIDED DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT THE TEAM MEMBERS & THE EXPERIENCES THE PROPOSAL INCLUDED AN IMPLEMENTATION OF BURN MECHANISM FOR GRANT FUNDING. BOTH THE ERIS PROTOCOL REVISED GRANT PROPOSAL & TEXAS POKER ARE EXAMPLE OF FUNDING REQUEST BOTH WERE REVISED IN WHICH ONE WAS ACCEPTED AND THE OTHER WAS REJECTED
CONCLUSION
THE DATA’S PROVIDED IN THE ABOVE DASHBOARD IS ABOUT TERRA & ITS GOVERNANCE & ABOUT TOP MOST 5 RECENT PROPOSALS .
PROPOSAL 3796 IS THE MOST OPULAR AMONG ALL 5 RECENT PROPOSALS IN TERMS OF VOTES & VOTERS . WHEN WE OBSERVE THE METRICS WE CAN STATE LARGE NUMBER OF VOTERS DO NOT CAST ANY VOITES & SOME CASTE MORE THAN ONCE . MOST NOTICEABLE TREND IS THERE IS NO VOTING DURING THE HOLIDAY PERIOD . LESS ENGEGEMENT OF THE VOTERS SHOWS THAT USERS ARE NOT TAKING ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN THE GROWTH PATTERN OF TERRA ECOSYSTEM .
SO THE COUNT OF ACTIVE USERS ARE VERY LESS BECAUSE THE VOTERS BECOME INACTIVE AFTER SOME TIME & HENCE NEW VOTERS & INACTIVE VOTERS SOUNDS SIMILAR . THE DEGREE OF CHANGE IS VERY HIGH AMONG VOTERS COUNT . SUCCESS & FAILURE RATE OF PROPOSALS NOT ONLY DEPENDS ON THE PROPOSAL ITSELF BUY ALSO ON THE VISION & TRANSPARENCY REPORT OF THE PROPOSAL. A GOOD PROPOSAL SHOULD BE OPEN FOR ALL SUGGESTIONS , CLEAR & CONCISE SUCH PROPOSALS ARE READILY ACCEPTED & GETS SUPPORT BY THE COMMUNITY IN TERMS OF FUNDS & ACCEPTANCE, THEY GETS VOTES & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT WHICH IS A VITAL POINT FOR A SUCCESSFUL GOVERNANCE .
Proposal ID 3796 has most number of votes and voters in last 5 proposals.
Number of votes and voters increased in 2023.
Yes ,No ,Abstain & No With Veto are vote options in order of their vote counts among 5 proposals.

The most active day was JANUARY 15th with 112 voters, from these proposals & was most active day for voters. On January 15th 2023 ,most votes were casted and was the most active day for cootes count
Average is 59 days for all the wallets to take part in governance after their first transaction, which is really long.
The holiday period was the period in which no activity is seen in governance with no votes & voters .
LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST AMONG THE COMPARISON OF TWO PROTOCOLS TEXAS POKER & ERIS PROTOCOL , ERIS PROTOCOL IS IN A LEADING POSITION WITH IT GAINING ACCEPTANCE IN FUND RAISING FROM THE TERRA COMMUNITY POOL .

QUESTION
As Terra 2.0 has expanded, we’ve seen a number of governance proposals come to light. Analyze the voting activity on the most recent 5 proposals. Can you identify any trends or patterns in voting?
\n
Bonus: Dig up and compare the text of 2 governance proposals. What do you think of these proposals? What would have made them stronger or likelier to gather more votes? Do you have any improvements to recommend?
