Seasons in the City
It’s autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. What season is it in the City of NEAR? Pick one of the districts from the NEAR Tournament and review how activity there has changed over the past 90 days. What has changed? What trends can you spot? Is it truly “winter” in your chosen “district” or area (NFTs, DeFi, etc.)?
Transfers
In this part, we will check how the changes in near network transfers have been during the last one year. For this purpose, we will check:
-
The number of transfers per day
-
The number of unique users per day who have made transfers
-
The total fees paid for performing transfers per day
-
The total gas paid per day for performing transfers
-
The total number of NEAR that has been deposited per day
We will check In the graphs that you will see below: -
The last 90 days are colored in orange and named as the current season
-
The rest of the days of the year are blue and named after the last seasons
Transactions
First, we will check how the changes in near network transactions have been during the last one year. For this purpose, we will check :
- the number of transactions per day
- the number of unique users per day who have made transactions
- and the total fees paid for executing transactions per day
In the graphs that you will see below:
- The last 90 days are colored in orange and named as the current season.
- The rest of the days of the year are blue and named as the last seasons.
\n
As you can see in the above three graphs, since the middle of September, the total number of transactions in the NEAR network and the number of users who have executed transactions, as well as the amount of fees paid for executing transactions, have significantly increased compared to the beginning of this season.
-
In the graph of the number of transactions per day and yhe graph of total fee paid per day, it can be said that we were in winter from the middle of June to the middle of September, but with the growth that this graph had in the middle of September until now, it can be said that we are no longer in winter and the winter has ended.
-
If we pay attention to the other days of the year in the graph of the number of users, it can be said that we were in winter until the beginning of September, but it seems that winter has ended and we have entered spring.

\
- If we pay attention to the three graphs of the number of transfers per day, the sum of the fees paid for the transfers per day, as well as the gas paid for them per day, it can be said that we may have been in winter at the beginning of this year until the middle of April, but We are not in winter at the moment.
- The graph of the volume of NEAR deposited during a year has almost a uniform trend (except for certain days when the volume increased significantly, but since it was not continuous in the days after that, they can be ignored), so it can be said that we are not in winter now because the trend has been the same throughout the year.
Now we want to examine the market of each of these NFTs that you see in the above list during one year.
As you can see in the above chart, the general market trend of these 10 NFTs has been almost downward in the last 9 months. Of course, if you look more carefully in the above chart, you will see that the color of this chart is brown and pink, and in fact, the charts related to these two colors have a downward trend. The dominance of the transactions of these two NFTs means that the number of transactions related to x.paras.near and pixeltoken.near NFTs is significantly higher than other NFTs, and we cannot check the trend of other NFTs until we ignore them.
As you can see in the above chart, it seems that we are not in the spring season in the NEAR NFT market. In terms of the number of transactions and the number of unique users, as you can see, the general trend of the NEAR NFT market has been declining almost since February. And this downward trend continues. In general, there is no positive trend in the NFT market and it seems that we are in the winter season (except for some specific NFTs).
Now, if we disable the last two colors (brown and pink) in the chart above, you will see the chart on the right side.
As you consider, for these top 10 NFTs, except for x.paras.near and pixeltoken.near, the amount of transactions has grown in the last three months, and it can be said that it has been spring for these NFTs. But considering that these projects did not have any transactions in the beginning of the year, it seems that the reason for the spring season of these NFTs is that they were recently minted.

Now, we will continue to examine the general trend of the NFT market from the two aspects of the number of transactions per day and the number of unique users per day.
