Q4. How many addresses on the MATIC network are active? What’s the daily evolution of active addresses? Is the activeness related some how to the price?

Active addresses criteria

In order to conduct any transactions, gas fee is a requirement. Therefore, an address can be considered as active address when it receive tokens for the first time.

The number of active address on the MATIC network

Using the criteria above, we can get data from flipside_prod_db.polygon.transactions and visualize it in the chart below

According to the chart, we can see a relation between price of matic and the number of wallets active on MATIC network. Starting from Jan 2021, both metrics went up and often has the same trend over time. When the price of MATIC reached its highest Dec 26, 2021 at $2.6, the number of active wallets on MATIC network also reached its highest too.
