Introduction to Cryptopunk NFT collection

CryptoPunk is a set of 10,000-pixel images, each of which shows a different personality, combination, or special character that was made by chance. There are 6,039 male Punk and 3,840 female Punk in a set of 10,000-pixel images.

This NFT project was made by the Larva Labs studio in the United States. Matt Hall and John Watkinson, two Canadian software developers, started Larva Labs.

The interesting thing about this project is that it was influenced by Punk London, a cyberpunk community that includes William Gibson's book Neuromancer, the movie Blade Runner, and the music group Daft Punk.

As can be seen from the chart, we can see some insights

• Most addresses in top 10 made more than $20M in profit.
• The address at top 1 earned more than $49M in profit, this number is 2x bigger than the address in top 10 with just $22M in profit.
• From top 1 to top 4, there’s not much difference in the amount of profit while top 1 earned $49M and top 4 earned $44M

When looking at the distribution of profit among top 10, we also see that the difference is not big. The wallet with the highest share only accounts for 14% of profit among top 10 while the wallet with the lowest share accounts for 14$ of profit among top 10.

As can be seen from the charts above, among top 10, most of the sales were made during 2021. The highest number of sales was on 2021-09-05 with 85 transactions . However, most of the sales volume was made during 2022, especially between Jan and Feb 2022.

This was thanks to the news that Yuga Labs, the owner of other popular collections like BAYC acquired CryptoPunks from Larva Labs and this news made investors think that CryptoPunks may also have huge success like BAYC and Moonbirds.

The biggest sale volume was on 2022-02-02 with the sales amount of $146507914 through just 10 transactions.
