In my analysis, the criteria to calculate balance & identify price is: contract_address/token_address = 0x7d1afa7b718fb893db30a3abc0cfc608aacfebb0 - the contract of MATIC token and symbol = 'MATIC'.

Below charts are shown to indicate the MATIC’s circulating supply and MATIC’s price per week.

In general, price of Matic fluctuated more sharply than the change of MATIC’s circulating supply. Both price and circulating supply rose over time. There were some period MATIC price and circulating supply increased/decreased together and some period were not. Therefore, I conclude that the they do not affect each other significantly. It is understandable when the amount of MATIC’s circulating supply is decided by the team behind.
