Wallet Providers
Introduction
As a next gen of blockchain for developers, Flow is focused on digital assets, games, and apps. With the aid of Flow, developers can build profitable crypto and crypto-enabled businesses. Applications employing Flow can create open economies owned by the users who contribute to their value, produce new sorts of digital assets that can be sold on open markets accessible from anywhere, and keep users in control of their own data.
Approach
In a Flow transaction, there are three roles: payer, proposer and authorizers. \n \n The account that gives a proposal key is called the "proposer." The account that pays the transaction fees is called the "payer." Accounts that give permission for a transaction to change their state are called "authorizers." \n \n If the payer is a user of a wallet provider, he can choose to receive subsidy from wallet providers and payer from wallet providers can pay for all transaction fee of this user. \n \n Some noticeable wallet providers are doing this like Blocto with payer 0x55ad22f01ef568a1, Dapper Wallet with payer 0x18eb4ee6b3c026d2 and Lilco with payer 0x319e67f2ef9d937f
\n
As can be seen from the chart, the highest number of wallet receiving subsidy was on April 22 with over 43K wallet and over 90% of them were Dapper wallet. However, this number dropped in the next days. Dapper wallet still accounted for the majority of wallets receiving subsidy per day. Blocto also had a noticeable number of wallet receiving subsidy per day with around 100-1000 wallets per day.
As can be seen from the chart, the highest number of transactions with subsidy was on April 22 with over 14K transactions and over 90% of them were paid by Dapper wallet. However, this number dropped in the next days. Dapper wallet still accounted for the majority of transactions with subsidy per day until May 21, 2022. Starting from May 22, Blocto also had a noticeable number of transactions with subsidy per day and take over Dapper wallet position to become the wallet providers paid for the biggest number of transactions with over 10K transactions per day.
Conclusion
From the analysis above, wallet providers on the flow blockchain frequently subsidize transaction costs, and this may also be used to determine the wallet provider of an address on the Flow blockchain. Moreover, Blocto and Dapper wallet are two most popular wallets on the market and pays for a big number of transactions on the blockchain.
