Avalanche Ecosystem Growth

    Avalanche is a fast, scalable, and interoperable blockchain platform that supports a variety of decentralized applications and use cases. Avalanche Labels provided on the flipside tables, is a data set that provides information on the addresses and currated labels of different projects and protocols on the Avalanche network. The labels that we would are categorized into five sectors:

    • CEX: Centralized exchange. A platform that facilitates the trading of crypto assets with a centralized authority that manages the transactions and custody of the assets.
    • DEFI: Decentralized finance. A broad term that encompasses various financial applications and services that run on a blockchain without intermediaries. Examples include lending, borrowing, swapping, staking, and insurance.
    • DEX: Decentralized exchange. A platform that allows users to trade crypto assets directly with each other without a third party. Users maintain full control and ownership of their assets and transactions are executed by smart contracts.
    • DAPP: Decentralized application. An application that runs on a distributed network and follows a specific protocol or logic. Dapps can have various use cases such as gaming, social media, education, or governance.
    • NFT: Non-fungible token. A unique digital asset that represents ownership of something such as art, music, or collectibles. NFTs are not interchangeable and can have different attributes and values.

    Chadmin and token will not be used since they are not major sectors on the Avalanche chain.

    In this analysis, we will use the Avalanche Labels data to explore the trends and patterns of user activity, transaction volume, and liquidity volume across these five sectors of the chain in the past 30 days. We will also identify the most popular and engaging projects and protocols within each sector and measure their user retention rate over time. The goal of this analysis is to gain insights into the growth and performance of the Avalanche ecosystem and its components.
