📜 Introduction

What is Ankr?

Ankr was founded in 2017 by CEO Chandler Song, who had the idea to create an easily accessible platform for the development of Web3, otherwise known as the decentralized internet. Ankr is a blockchain-based cross-chain infrastructure with a DeFi platform that enables staking and dApp development. It hosts various protocols related to the development of dApps and the DeFi sector.

Ankr was designed and developed based on the vision of a new internet that is based on distributed ledger technology, with applications, protocols, and systems that are decentralized, more private, and secure for users. The main idea is to remove the need for central authorities and middlemen, giving the ownership and control over data and applications to users and network participants.

After releasing the Ankr mainnet in 2019, the dev team behind the ANKR project launched a staking protocol, dubbed Stkr. Stkr allows users to stake Ethereum (ETH) in return for aETH, which represents the future gains on the deposited staking balance. That is how network participants are rewarded for staking through the Stkr protocol. Users can likewise deploy development nodes and build dApps on the network, or deploy staking nodes and enjoy the perks of becoming stakers on the ANKR Web3 platform.

• To deal with this dashboard, we use Ethereum blockchain database available on flipside chain database for analyzing Ankr ETH Staking platform from different aspects

Ethereum Staking - Overview

Ankr - General Statistics

• In this section, we examine the number and volume of staked ETH transactions on the Ankr platform from various aspects. A total of 5320 transactions with a volume of 60.5 thousand ETH have been staked on the Ankr platform. The Ankr platform has 3,820 depositors, each of whom has staked an average of 11.38 ETH. The largest amount of ETH staked on the Anker platform is equal to 5000 ETH.
• In the "Weekly Number of ETH Staked On Ankr" chart, we see the number of stake transactions on Ankr on a weekly basis.
• The highest number of stake transactions on Ankr was in December 2020, and despite the bullish market in September and October 2021, we can see that the number of stake transactions on Ankr has decreased. In April 2022, we see a relative increase in stake transactions again. In May and June, we again face a decrease in stake transactions in Ankr, the main reason of which can be the bear market.
• In the "Daily Cumulative Number of ETH Staked On Ankr" and "Daily Cumulative Volume of ETH Staked On Ankr (ETH)" charts, we can see that 279 transactions with a volume of 29,418 ETH have been staked on the Ankr platform, which is the highest number and volume of Ethereum staked daily on this platform.

Ankr ETH Price and Top Stakers

• In the "Price of aETHb and aETHc in ETH Units" chart, we can see the price of aETHb and aETHc tokens in ETH units. The two tokens aETHb and aETHc are Ankr Reward Earning Staked ETH tokens of the Ankr platform, which are equivalent to 1:1 with the ETH price, and after the ETH stake on the Ankr platform, one of these two tokens is awarded to the user.
• In the "Distribution of ETH Stakers On Ankr by ETH Staking Amount" chart, we can see the number of stakers based on the different categories of ETH volume . In the chart, we can see that 2,104 users have staked 1 to 10 ETH on the Ankr platform, which has the largest volume among other categories. Only 90 users have staked more than 100 ETH on the Ankr platform.

• In the "Top 100 ETH Stakers On Ankr Finance by ETH Amount" chart, we can see the top 100 wallets that have staked the largest amount of ETH on the Ankr platform.
• [0x13e2...5f76] wallet has staked 8800 ETH on the Ankr platform.
• In the "Top 10 ETH Stakers On Ankr Finance by ETH Amount" chart, we see the top 10 wallets that have staked the most Ethereum on the Ankr platform. As we can see in the pie chart, more than 52% of ETH staked is related to [0x13e2...5f76] wallet. [0x6cc3...5112] wallet is also in the second place with 1500 ETH staked on the Ankr platform. After that, [0x581a...2f84] wallet is in third place with 1186 ETH staked on the Ankr platform. As we can see, these three wallets for almost 68% of ETH stakers on the Ankr platform.

In "Daily Number of ETH Staked and Unstaked Transactions On Ankr" and "Daily Volume of ETH Staked and Unstaked Transactions On Ankr" charts, we see the number and volume of staked and unstaked ETH on a daily basis. As we can see in the charts, the largest number and volume of unstaked ETH from the Ankr platform are related to the months of May and June. The ETH unstaked has increased after May 5, the most important reason of which can be the Terra crisis, which reduced the trust of users in DeFi platforms. In the chart, we can see that 752 ETH unstaked transactions with a volume of 141175 ETH have been processed on June 12, 2022, which is the highest number and volume of unstake transactions compared to other days, the main reason for which can be the bear market and the sharp fall of the market after the announcement Inflation rate increase by the Federal Reserve in June.

ETH Liquid Staking - Ankr vs Other Platforms

• In the charts of this section, we compare the Anker platform with other similar platforms. In the "Total Volume of ETH Staking - Ankr vs Other Platforms" chart, we can see the amount of ETH staked on different platforms. The Lido platform, with a volume of more than 3 million ETH, has almost 90% of the ETH stake market. Ankr platform with 60.5k ETH staked has only 0.23% of the market.
• After the Lido platform, there is the Rocket Pool platform, which has 4.86% of the market share.
• We can see the number of stakers in each of the platforms in the "Total ETH Liquid Staking by Stakers - Ankr vs Other Platforms" chart. The Lido platform is in first place with 86,772 stakers. After that, the Rocket Pool platform is in second place with 10.45 thousand stakers. Ankr platform is in fifth place with 1214 stakers after Stakewise and Bifrost platforms.

Conclusion

In this dashboard, we analyzed the Ankr Ethereum staking platform from various aspects, and we saw that the Ankr platform has 0.23% of the Ethereum staking volume market and is in the fifth place among other platforms. The Lido platform is in the first place with 90% of the Ethereum staking volume and the Rocket Pool platform is in the second place with 4.86% of the Ethereum staking volume.
