    What is Flow? (FLOW)

Imagine this: You launch a hugely successful decentralized application (dapp) on Ethereum, but your game is so popular, it renders the blockchain itself almost unusable.

Sound far fetched? That’s the story of CryptoKitties, a hugely viral trading game launched in 2017 that allowed users to buy, collect and breed digital cats.

Frustrated with Ethereum, the developers behind CryptoKitties set out to solve the technology problems they encountered. In the process, they created a new blockchain designed specifically for applications like the ones that they had helped popularize.

The Flow playground, launched in 2020, allows developers to create and trade a particular type of digital asset called a non-fungible token (NFT). An NFT is like other crypto assets in how it can be bought, sold and exchanged over the internet without a middleman.

However, there’s one crucial difference. With an NFT, every asset on the blockchain is unique, and it trades for its own specific price. (You can think of an NFT as a kind of digital trading card.) For more information on NFTs, you can visit Kraken's "What are Non-Fungible Tokens?" page located in our Learn Center.

With Flow, the team behind CryptoKitties is seeking to create a new platform that allows these types of applications to attract a larger number of mainstream users.

For more regular updates from the Flow team, you can bookmark the Flow blog, which includes tips and tutorials on the network and its evolving technology.

    Question

Flow is fast, but how fast?

6 months ago, we asked for a comparative analysis on blockchain speed - how has Flow increased its speed in transaction per minute since? Compare Flow and other L1 blockchains in terms of speed: identify the monthly average for transactions per minute, and how that's improved or worsened since the beginning of 2022.

    • What types of events have raised or decreased the blockchain's performance over that time period?
    • Are there bursts of transaction volume or interest on the chain? Compare Flow's speed to at least two other blockchains.

    conclusion

    • According the Number of Total Transactions we can see the number of ETH transaction are more flow ,optimism, gnosis . The number of eth transactions in one is limited, but for example flow, the number of transactions increases over time. In the eth transaction chart, we can see that the number of transactions has doubled on December 9.So as a result the highest eth transaction was on December 9th with 1.93M transaction count. We observe the flow transactions, we see that since April 19, the slope of its transaction increase has increased. The highest number of transactions recorded in the time range is on November 25 with the number of 2.32M transactions. Now it's gnosis' turn, the number of gnosis transactions is decreasing over time, but on May 4, we can see that the number of gnosis transactions is higher than flow and eth. This position has two possibilities, either it causes the growth of the currency or it is for the purpose of emptying, but we found out that after this increase in transactions, gnosis has decreased. the high number of gnosis transaction in may 4 the number is 1.38M.and last one optimism transaction we see increasing over time .the high number transaction of optimism in jun1 the number 487k
    • According the Count of Active User we can see the number of ETH user are more flow ,optimism, gnosis . The number of eth user in one is limited, but for example flow, the number of user increases over time. In the eth user chart, we can see that the number of user has doubled on December 9.So as a result the highest eth user was on December 9th with 1.35M user count. We observe the flow user , we see that since April 7, the slope of its user increase has increased. The highest number of user recorded in the time range is on may6 with the number of 527k user .Now it's gnosis' turn, the number of gnosis user is decreasing over time, . the high number of gnosis user in oct 5the number is 57k.and last one optimism user we see increasing over time .the high number of optimism user in jun1 the number 106k
