26. Biggest Liquidations
Nov 2, 2021 - This dashboard looks at the biggest liquidations over the past year on the Aave platform. Aave allows for users to deposit and borrow at their discretion. A unique feature of Aave is that it allows for under-collateralized loans, in the form of flash loans, which can be used as long as the loan is payed back within one block. If the loan is not payed back within one block, the actions by the borrower are undone. If the borrowers collateral on a regular(not flash) loan ends up not properly covering the loan due to price changes, the borrower can be liquidated. This means that up to 50% of a borrower's debt is repaid and that value plus liquidation fee is taken from the collateral available, so after a liquidation that amount liquidated from the debt is repaid. The largest liquidation on Aave in 2021 so far was about $5,000,000. The next highest liquidations are not far behind, with almost all of them in the 4 million or high 3 million dollar range.

Member Roles

For this analysis, I did not count a whale as both a member and a whale, and so any user between 35,000 and 350,000 tokens is a member, and any user above 350,000 tokens is a whale.

24. [Easy] Swap Size Distribution
Dec 6, 2021 - This dashboard looks at the swap size distribution on THORChain. The THORChain protocol allows users to swap assets from different blockchains, utilizing its native token RUNE. To minimize the number of swap size bins, I decided to use a logarithmic scale. The first visualization in this dashboard looks at the proportion of THORChain trade sizes. By far the highest number of trades are in the ranges of $100 and $1,000 and $1,000 and $10,000. The highest number of trades are within the range of $1 00 and $1000, with a total of over 500,000 trades in this category and making up 52% of total trades. The least number of trades occurred at a size of great than $1,000,000. The next metric in this dashboard looks at the average trade sizes across all of the THORChain pools. The pool with the highest average trade size was the FOX pool, while one with the lowest average trade size was the AVA pool.
