Introduction
In this dashboard i went deep through Lido Staking Platform and analyzed some metrics about Lido and its staking actions like :
- All Stats
- Daily ETH Staked amount and amount in USD
- Daily Number of Stakes
- Daily Unique Depositors
- Daily Stakes and Unstakes
- ETH Distribution
- Lido,Ankr,Rocket Pool Comparison
I analyzed them in total at first then on a daily basis. All the data that you are going to see is from the beginning of the year (2022-01-01)
What is Lido?
Lido is a provider of liquid staking solutions for staked assets and Ethereum. The platform lets users stake their assets for daily staking rewards. Users can stake any amount of tokens - no minimum. It issues synthetic native tokens for every Ethereum staked via its protocol, thereby enabling users to stake Ethereum and receive an asset of equal value which can be used in various DeFi applications to earn yield.
Methodology
At first i analyzed the metrics in total and then i analyzed them on a daily basis. I used Ethereum tables from Flipside data such as: ethereum.core.ez_token_transfers and ethereum.core.ez_eth_transfers.
For Lido Staking Platform i used its contract address : 0xae7ab96520de3a18e5e111b5eaab095312d7fe84 and grab all the data that i mentioned above since the beginning of the year.I analyzed diffrent metrics for Lido then at last i compared it to 2 other staking platforms on Ethereum blockchain such as Ankr and Rocket Pool.
Observations
- ETH Staking Volume at Lido had a pump back then on March 15th 2022 and it went to a massive number(504M $)
- After May 9th 2022 Ethereum price went under 2000$ and both amount volume and usd volume at Lido dropped almost 90% and and this is unprecedented since the beginning of the year
- When Ethereum Price dropped under 2000$ people thought it is going to be a bearish market for sure and didnt stake that much after that

Observations
- The number of unique depositors are almost the same at anytime since the beginning of the year except Feb 11th and May 7th , 8th; Feb 11th had the highest number of depositors and the other days in May had high depositors too
- These 3 days that i mentioned also had highest number of stake transactions and it seems like number of transactions directly related to number of depositors
- Ethereum Price didnt really effect on number of stake transactions
- Stakes and Unstakes had a huge pump on March 15th 2022
- The amount of stakes and unstakes is so close to each other almost on every day
- After May 12th Number of stakes and unstakes massively dropped because of the fall of Ethereum price
Observations
- Most of Ethereum Users or Wallets are holding under 10 ETH, ETH is now 1600 $ and it means they are holding under 16000$
- Ethereum whales are few, but their power reaches ordinary people (Whales means wallets with huge eth balances)
This data is also since the beginning of the year and its not overtime
Conclusion and overall thoughts
- Lido had 2.6M Volume since the beginning of the year and its so huge for a staking platform in this period of time
- March 15th 2022 was a big day for Lido and also Ethereum
- Number of Depositors directly related to number of stakes transactions
- Users are both staking and unstaking almost the same amount everyday
- Lido is more popular than Rocket Pool or Ankr
- For all the metrics that i analyzed Lido was the biggest comparing to other 2
- Users are mostly holding under 10 ETH and forming almost 88% of other holding amounts
- Price of ETH has nothing to do with number of stakes but it actually effected on stake Volume
- Between these 3 staking platforms that i compared, Lido is the first one by stats, the second one is RocketPool and the last one is Ankr
