Introduction

In this dashboard i analyzed the people that are new to NEAR Protocol and looked to their activity after joining to NEAR Protocol and analyzed some metrics about them and NEAR like:

• NEAR New Users
• Daily Transactions by Events
• Daily Volume
• Top 10 Most Popular Events by Users
• NEAR Distribution

I analyzed all the data since 3 months ago( Current_date - 90 )

What is NEAR?

Near Protocol is a layer 1 blockchain network. It provides a platform on which developers can build decentralized applications (dapps). The most successful layer 1 blockchain is Ethereum, so protocols like Near are seen as challengers.

Methodology

For this analysis i used Near.core tables from Flipside data. The tables that i used are: near.core.fact_transactions , near.core.fact_actions_events_function_call , near.core.ez_usn_supply and gathered the data that i needed from them. All the analytics that you are going to see are from 3 months ago until now. At first i found new NEAR users then looked for their actions and transactions and volume.

NEAR new users

Observations

• June 9th had the highest number of new NEAR users in past 3 months
• After June 9th number of new users decreased until Jul 9th
• On Jul 9th this number pumped and it went for 5 days straight but after that it dropped almost 85%
• Average of new users in all days is almost the same except June 9th and Jul 9th-Jul 13th

Daily Transactions by Events and Daily Volume

Observations

• Submit is the most popular action between new NEAR users
• Jul 19th and Aug 5th had the highest transactions
• After Jul 19th number of transactions got a down trend and decreased slowly
• After Jul 19th Number of Transactions experienced lower highs and went down
• The least popular action between new users is nft_mint
• Jul 6th and Jul 7th had the highest volume with a massive number (10T)
• The volume is almost the same on most of the days in past 3 months except Jul 6 , 7

Top 10 Most Popular Events by Users

Observations

• Submit is so popular between NEAR new users and the second popular action is ft_transfer_call

• Submit is forming 73.2% between top 10 popular events between users and almost 918K users are submitting

• storage_deposit is not so popular between new users and few people are taking that action

NEAR Distribution

Conclusion

• Over 25.6M transactions made by users in past 3 months on NEAR Protocol
• Over 308K new users has joined to NEAR Blockchain in past 3 months
• Users paid almost 3.5M Transactions fees in past 3 months
• June 9 had the highest number of new users
• Jul 19 had the highest number of transactions
• Jul 6 , 7 had the highest volume
• Submit is the first popular action and ft_transfer_call is the second popular action between new users
• Users mostly holding 10-100 NEAR Tokens and the number of whales(high balance wallets with more than 1M tokens) is 8
• number of users that holding 0-10 NEAR, 100-500 NEAR, 1K-10K NEAR are so close

I should mention that NEAR Distribution is for past 3 months and it is not over time
