Introduction

In this analytics i went deep down through solend diffrent type of pools and analyzed some metrics from it with flipside data.

As we already know on Aug 17th Solend announced their permissionless pools,now im gonna go through solend diffrent type of pools like Main pools, Isolated Pools and Permissionless Pools and find out some metrics for supplier and borrower and token,net flow like:

• Total Number of Borrower and Supplier Wallets
• Share of Borrower and Supplier Wallets
• Daily Count of Borrower and Supplier Wallets
• Daily Volume of Borrower and Supplier Wallets
• Cumulative Volume by Amount and Token of Borrower and Supplier Wallets
• Net Flow per Token and Share of Net Flow
• How is Solend doing on solana and personal thoughts

I analyzed these metrics for each pool and since the beginning of August 2022 ( 2022-08-01 )

What is Solend?

Solend is an algorithmic, decentralized protocol for lending and borrowing on Solana that lets you earn interest on deposits and borrow assets.

What is Permissionless Pools?

Permissionless Pools allow anyone to create an isolated pool on Solend. The creator decides and earns 20% of origination fees generated in that pool. Therefore, a successful Permissionless Pool means fees generated for the pool creator.

Permissionless Pools unlock the following:

• Ability to list tokens faster: The core Solend team can only list so many tokens. Allowing anyone to list Permissionless Pools themselves means opening the floodgates for anyone to list any asset.
• Utility for any token: The idea that any token can be listed is a powerful one. With this, any asset wrapped as an SPL token has utility in being accepted as collateral for a loan.
• Protocol owned market: With 20% of origination fees generated in the pool going to the creator, user growth of the pool rewards both Solend and the pool creator. Protocols and influencers can create their own pools and promote it to their audience. Similar to what Uniswap did for tokens in DeFi Summer, Permissionless Pools unlock utility for the long tail of assets.

Methodology

• For These metrics that i analyzed, i used Solana data from flipside and entered every contracts for each pool in the query
• I used solana.core.fact_events table for all the data that i needed for this analytics

All the charts that you are going to see are from he beginning of the August 2022

Number of Supplier and Borrower Wallets

• Looks Like users are more supplying than borrowing
• Main Pools have the highest number of suppliers and borrowers
• Users are mostly depositing SLND and Sol and borrowing Sol and USDT

Share of Borrower and Supplier Wallets

• As i mentioned above Main Pools have the highest supplier and borrower count
• Users mostly depositing and borrowing in Main Pools than other pools
• Although Permissionless Pools launched lately but they have good percentage of suppliers and borrowers in this short amount of time

Daily Count of Borrower and Supplier Wallets

• Aug 3rd 2022 had the highest number of suppliers and borrowers
• Aug 6th had the lowest number of suppliers and borrowers ( Aug 25th is not over yet and its stats is not complete )
• Permissionless Pools had the highest number of suppliers and borrowers on Aug 24th
• Main Pools got a down trend since Aug 16th

Daily Volume of Borrower and Supplier Wallets

• Aug 19th was the highest supply volume and Aug 16th was the highest borrow volume with a massive number( 9B )
• Overall supply volume is more than borrow volume and it shows that users mostly depositing than borrowing

Cumulative Volume by Amount and Token of Borrower and Supplier Wallets

• Although Main Pools are the popular pools in Solend but Isolated pools cumulative supply volume is more than main pools and permissionless pools
• Permissionless Pools have the lowest volume and cumulative volume by amount and token
• Sol Token is the most popular token by volume in these pools

Net Flow per Token and Share of Net Flow

• Isolated Pools have the highest net flow than other pools
• Isolated Pools have a massive net flow on SAMO Token
• Main Pools have the highest net flow on SOL token
• Highest net flow of Permissionless Pools is for CRP Token

Conclusion

• SOL Token is so popular for both suppliers and borrowers
• Users actually like Permission Pools and this pools are getting so much interacts from Solana Community
• August actually was a good month for solend and its not over yet
• Most of the net flow is for Isolated Pools
• Solend Users like suppliers and borrowers are interacting with main pools more than other pools
• Solend is doing well on solana blockchain and i think its the most popular protocol on solana

Personal Thoughts

There are only 4 Permissionless Pools created since its launched and not gonna lie they are having a nice feedback and a lot of users working with them.

Solend is a popular protocol on Solana and getting many user activities on its several pools and mostly on Main Pools.

I think Permissionless Pools are on the beginning of their way and they can be so good for Solend popularity in Solana community in the near future.
